Saxophonist virtuoso, Sam Kininger
At 12:35am, the Sam Kininger band started off with just
Sam on saxophone and Nikki Glaspie on drums. After a few minutes, Aaron joined
the band on thunderous bass riffing, followed by Mike on guitar! "Where
I'm Coming From" featured a super-powerful bass solo and some psychedelic
wah-wah guitarisms!! Sam Kininger ALWAYS delivers with some good sax like
on "Late Night", featuring some high-powered insane drumming! The band did
another song which was funky in the vein of James Brown, thanks to the funky
scratch guitarisms of Mike. The first set ended at 1:40am.
