At
7:30pm, The Blue Method began their set with the funky "In The
Running", featuring the powerhouse vocals of Brian Williams, strong bass
riffs during the chorus by Dapp, and tight saxophone riffs by Tom Long! The
jazzy funk styling naturally flowed into one of the album's funkier cuts
"Things I'll Do", with enough funky scratch rhythm guitar by Michael
Patriarca to stink up World Cafe really good, just before the band began a
Latin-tinged jam session! AYE CARUMBA! WHEW..."Haitian Sensation" was
just, just too much with Dapp's heavy poppin' bassisms and Michael's
funkalicious rhythm guitaring to match. "Sad Thing" was the
audience's chance to join in and sing the chorus. "Think a Minute"
was more of the funk that began the show, and "Let Me See Ya"
featured great solos from everyone in the band, especially the hot, sticky
& stank trumpet soloing by Tom and some super-tight drumming by Theron! The
show was over at 8:20pm.
